What is the height limit for trucks

Heavy/medium trucks and semi-trailers are restricted to a height of 4 meters, container trucks are restricted to a height of 4.2 meters, and other trucks carrying goods are restricted to a height of 2.5 meters
According to China's current regulations, the height limit for trucks varies depending on the model and type of cargo load, as follows.

I. Height limits for major vehicle models
Heavy/medium goods vehicles and semi-trailers

The height of a loaded vehicle from the ground level shall not exceed 4 meters.
If the vehicles are used for road operation (e.g. freight trucks), they are required to be installed with tachographs complying with the national standards in order to monitor the driving status.
Container Transportation Vehicles

When loading containers, the maximum total height (including containers) is 4.2 meters.
Such vehicles usually have a body height of 1.2-1.5 meters above the ground, but special transport vehicles (e.g., low-flatbed trucks) may be lower (0.4-0.8 meters).
Other motor vehicles carrying goods

including light trucks, etc., have a height limit of 2.5 meters. The empty height of light trucks is usually between 2.2 and 2.6 meters.
